My 1st B-day: Special Time With My Grandparents

My First Birthday

Boy was it a fun day! The weather was perfect at the park. Lots of family and friends came by to share the day. That made it really special! Grandpa Tom BBQ'd and lots of people brought yummy dishes to share. Mom made me a special butterfly cake (for some reason she doesn't want me to have sugar?) I got lots of cool gifts too and got to spend some nice time with my Grandparents. Here are some pictures, thanks to Mom's friend Evelyn for taking them all.

Lily is Officially Mobile...Watch Out!!

I am already turning out to be quite the computer nerd. Mom and Dad can't use the computer in my presence without me trying to help out a bit.

I am walking...everywhere!!! I'm so fast it's hard to catch a picture of me though. I walk from room to room and like to follow my parents or Milo or Cosmo around. By the way, check out my fancy new jacket. My Grandma Lori made it for me. It's very soft and cozy so I like it.

I like to make changing my diaper or clothes a bit of a challenge for Mom and Dad these days. Here I am standing up on my changing table, probably looking out the window at one of my Dogs (note: I said Dogs, plural.)

My new favorite food...

Don't call CPS on my Dad please. He just couldn't help himself.

First touch of grass (no jokes please). I love the outdoors.

Storytimes. I would rather hold and read the book myself though. I can read out loud and point at things I like in the pictures too. I had a few accidents with my non-board books. Got a little too excited and tried to see if I was strong enough to pull a page (or 5) out...oops.

Life with Lily...almost a year old

There are never any pictures of me and mom, and as you can see I am trying to keep it that way. If you haven't seen them yet, these are mom's cool new braces (haha).

I like to play "chase," but my favorite part is being caught!

Here are the official 1st teeth. I thought they were going to take forever to come out! What a pain...but now I can gnaw on string cheese and other good stuff. Though my favorite food is still cheerios at the moment.

I'm still going to music class and I like to play the tamborine and drum the best. I've learned a new head banging move too. Dad says I look like I'm having a seizure. That's not a nice thing to tease about! Besides, I learned it from him :)

Still got those arm rolls...but I'm getting taller and leaner (probably because I'm a crazy crawler all day long. I wear myself and mom out.

Mom made me this cool Easter basket. I really liked the football and soccer eggs I got. I like to play catch now and especially like the basketball a lot. I like to watch Dad and Milo play hoops.
